END OF WINTER MORATORIUM

The Winter Moratorium is coming to an end. If your account is past due, please submit payment or contact the billing clerk to discuss a possible payment arrangement.

In accordance with PSC regulation 113.0404, customers with a past-due balance may be eligible for a Deferred Payment Agreement (DPA). However, under Act 274 and Wis. Stat. 66.0809(9), Lake Mills Light and Water is unable to offer a DPA if any of the following apply:

  1. The past-due balance accrued during the winter moratorium and is now more than 90 days overdue.
  2. The customer has defaulted on a Deferred Payment Agreement within the last 12 months.
  3. The customer is a residential tenant responsible for arrearages that were placed on a property owner’s tax bill within the utility’s service territory in the past 24 months.
