Bill Payment Options

Lake Mills Light & Water sends utility bills to all customers once each month for electric, water, sewer, refuse and fire protection services. Costs for all services are included in your monthly bill.

Prompt payment of your bill is important. If, at any time, you experience problems paying your bill, contact usBEFORE the due date. We will make every effort to assist you.

We have several convenient methods for you to pay your utility bill:

Online Bill Payments--NEW!!

Online payments are made through Payment Service Network.  You can....

  • Pay from checking or savings ($1.00 fee is added to your payment)
  • Pay by MasterCard, VISA or Discover (2.75% fee is added to your payment)
  • Pay immediately, schedule a payment or set up Auto-Pay for the amount of your bill
  • Print receipts, view payment history, see status of payments (online only)

Lake Mills Light & Water uses Payment Service Network to process our payments and post bills.  PSN has been certified as maintaining the highest level of security as required by the credit card industry.

Pay by Phone

To pay by phone, call 877-885-7968.  Have your bill handy to provide your customer account number.  There is a 2.75% fee added to your credit card payment and a $1.00 fee added to payments from your checking or savings accounts.  Your account will be credited the following business day. 

Automatic Bill Payment Service 

A free automatic bill payment service is now being offered to our customers. You can have your bill electronically paid from any bank, savings & loan or credit union account. Sign up today to start enjoying these benefits:

  • no postage to pay

  • no more late payment charges

  • no matter where you are your bill will be paid


  • It's easy to enroll in this program!! Just download and print the enrollment form and follow the instructions.

    Pay In Person

    Customers can make payments in person at City Hall, located at 200D Water Street during their normal business hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.  Coming soon!!--Credit card payments will be accepted at our office also.  (Fee applies to credit card payments.)

    Pay By Mail

    Please use the convenient envelopes that accompany each month’s utility bill. Or if you’d like, enclose payment with your own stamped envelope and mail to the utility at the address provided at the top of the bill.

    If you choose to pay by mail, please send check or money order only. Do not send cash. When paying by mail, be sure to include the top portion of the bill with your payment.


    Pay After Hours

    We have two drop boxes available for after-hours use. One payment slot is located near the front door of City Hall and the other is located in the rear parking lot. These allow you to drop your payment off quickly and easily after business hours.

    For your convenience, you can also drop your payments off at Sentry Foods, Greenwoods State Bank or Bank of Lake Mills.
